Sean Clark, Danny Connolly - with a 79 break - Mark Hodson & Peter Cleaver in impressive form. Robert White averted the whitewash. Macc. Snooker A head the table following a 4-1 win over Silktown C. Simon Barber, Nick Dyson, Del Lunn & Graham Roberts making an early bid for the title. Silktown E move into 2nd place with a 3-2 victory over Liberal B. Doug Huntbach & Barry Jones could not stop Lee Smith, Mark Pilkington & Tim Hill from taking the match. In the 'A' league, St. Pauls B thrashed Broken Cross B 5-0 to lead the table. Phil Gardener, Ant. Bracegirdle, Dave Dean, Adam Jones & Bill Livesley with easy wins. Macc. Snooker B beat Silktown A 3-2. Adrian Broadrick, Matt Box & Rick Oakes just edging out Dave Whalley & Nigel Kinsella. Pack Horse B lost 3-2 to Prestbury A. Dave Nelson & Kevin Brooks on target for the home side. George Messham, Andy Kerr & Dave Wilkinson in reply. In the 'B' league, Pack Horse A defeated local rivals Pack Horse C 4-1. Jon Whalley could not stop Gary Tomlinson, Ben Atkins, Brian Grooms & Carl Garner from going top of the table. Silktown D move into 2nd following a 3-2 win at Tytherington.
